• Usage data: Daily translation count for plan limit enforcement, app version, device type (anonymized).

• To enforce usage limits according to your plan.

4. Data Processing & Third Parties

To translate your text, we use the following services:

• DeepL API — for high-quality machine translation.
• Google Cloud Translation — as a fallback translation engine.
• OpenAI API — for AI-powered tone adaptation and rephrase features.

Your text is sent to these services solely for translation purposes and is not stored by them beyond request processing. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more details.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
• API authentication via JWT tokens.
• We never store the content of your translated messages on our servers.
• Database credentials and API keys are stored as encrypted environment variables.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage logs (character counts only, no message content) are retained for billing purposes. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
